Module 1: Introducing Application Networks and API-Led Connectivity

  1. Explain what an application network is and its benefits
  2. Describe how to build an application network using API-led connectivity
  3. Explain what web services and APIs are
  4. Make calls to secure and unsecured APIs

Module 2: Introducing Anypoint Platform

  1. Describe the benefits of Anypoint Platform and MuleSoft’s approach to be successful with it
  2. Describe the role of each component in building application networks
  3. Navigate Anypoint Platform
  4. Locate APIs and other assets needed to build integrations and APIs in Anypoint Exchange
  5. Build basic integrations to connect systems using Flow Designer

Module 3: Designing APIs

  1. Define APIs with RAML, the Restful API Modeling Language
  2. Mock APIs to test their design before they are built
  3. Make APIs discoverable by adding them to the private Anypoint Exchange
  4. Create public API portals for external developers

Module 4: Building APIs

  1. Use Anypoint Studio to build, run, and test Mule applications
  2. Use a connector to connect to databases
  3. Use the graphical DataWeave editor to transform data
  4. Create RESTful interfaces for applications from RAML files
  5. Connect API interfaces to API implementations

Module 5: Deploying and Managing APIs

  1. Describe the options for deploying Mule applications
  2. Deploy Mule applications to CloudHub
  3. Use API Manager to create and deploy API proxies
  4. Use API Manager to restrict access to API proxies

PART 2: Building Applications with Anypoint Studio

Module 7: Structuring Mule Applications

  1. Create applications composed of multiple flows and subflows
  2. Pass events between flows using asynchronous queues
  3. Encapsulate global elements in separate configuration files
  4. Specify application properties in a separate properties file and use them in the application
  5. Describe the purpose of each file and folder in a Mule project
  6. Define and manage application metadata
